Evergy Raises 2026 Outlook After Q3 Adjusted EPS Hits $2.58
Evergy reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $2.58, raised 2026 guidance to $4.35–$4.50, and declared a $0.7225 quarterly dividend.

Kansas City-based Evergy, Inc. reported third-quarter GAAP earnings of $612.9 million, or $2.59 a share, on Thursday, up from $475.0 million, or $2.03 a share, a year earlier, according to the company’s newsroom release.
- GAAP EPS: $2.59, up from $2.03
- Adjusted EPS (non-GAAP): $2.58, up from $2.03
- Adjusted earnings: $609.9 million, up from $475.1 million
- Revenue: about $2.10 billion, according to Quiver Quantitative and MarketScreener summaries of the results
- Quarterly dividend: $0.7225 a share, payable Dec. 18 to holders of record Nov. 20
Adjusted results benefited from warmer weather, recovery of regulated investments, growth in weather-normalized demand and higher large-customer revenues, partially offset by higher operations and maintenance costs and higher depreciation and amortization, the company said. Quiver Quantitative reported that the $2.58 adjusted EPS beat a $2.35 consensus estimate.
Guidance, load growth and dividend
Evergy raised full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $4.35 to $4.50 from $4.14 to $4.34 and reaffirmed a long-term adjusted EPS growth target of 6% to 8% or more through 2030 off the original 2026 midpoint of $4.24. The board’s $0.7225 dividend reflects a 4% increase and supports a long-term payout-ratio target of 50% to 60%, according to the release.
Chief Executive David Campbell said the company signed three amendments to previously signed electric service agreements expected to add about 250 megawatts of incremental load, plus a letter of intent with Digital Realty for a 1.4-gigawatt project in its Kansas and Missouri service territories. Management hosted an earnings call at 9 a.m. Eastern on Thursday.
