Viatris Raises 2026 Guidance as Q3 Revenue Holds at $3.75B
Viatris posted $3.75 billion in Q3 revenue and $0.71 adjusted EPS, raised its 2026 guidance midpoints and expects the Pacira deal to close in November.

Pittsburgh drugmaker Viatris Inc. lifted the midpoints of every 2026 financial target on Thursday after third-quarter total revenues came in at $3.75 billion, essentially flat from a year earlier, according to results the company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Total revenues: $3.75 billion, vs. $3.76 billion a year earlier
- Brands net sales: $2.46 billion, up 1%
- Generics net sales: $1.27 billion, down 3%
- Greater China net sales: $702.6 million, up 14%
- U.S. GAAP net loss / loss per share: $325 million / $(0.28), vs. $128 million / $(0.11)
- Adjusted EBITDA: $1.20 billion, up 4%
- Adjusted EPS: $0.71, vs. $0.67
- Free cash flow: $814 million, up 24%
The company said new products and its North American business largely offset supply constraints in Europe and emerging markets. It blamed the wider GAAP loss mainly on a higher income tax provision tied to losses in jurisdictions where it can realize little benefit.
India plant suspension weighs on supply
Viatris said the Food and Drug Administration classified its oral solid dose plant in Nashik, India, as Official Action Indicated in September, after 483 observations in May. The company voluntarily suspended manufacturing there in October and expects to restart production in the first quarter of 2027. It estimated supply constraints cut about $100 million from third-quarter revenue and expects a similar hit in the fourth quarter.
New 2026 ranges and the Pacira deal
- Total revenues: $14.70 billion to $14.90 billion (prior $14.55 billion to $14.95 billion)
- Adjusted EBITDA: $4.45 billion to $4.55 billion (prior $4.30 billion to $4.50 billion)
- Adjusted EPS: $2.56 to $2.63 (prior $2.45 to $2.59)
- Free cash flow excluding transaction and restructuring costs: $2.225 billion to $2.375 billion
The outlook excludes any contribution from Viatris’ planned $36.50-per-share cash purchase of Pacira BioSciences, valued at $1.65 billion in equity, which the company expects to close by the end of November. Viatris also cited U.S. approval of RYZUMVI for presbyopia, the October U.S. launch of the Gwyn Lo contraceptive patch and about $717 million returned to shareholders so far this year, including roughly $300 million in buybacks.
